El Cafetal de la Luz History

The first electric plant was installed in the small and cozy Barrio Amón (Amon Neighborhood), in the mids of coffe plantations, nex to the Torres River . Was on august 9 th , 1884 when San José became the third city in the world and the first one in Latin America illuminated by electric energy, after New York and Paris . This was a novelty that attracted both nationals and foreingners who visited the place they called "Cafetal de la Luz" this historical place is the same place when you will join a delicious international food.
