A Brief History of the Hotel
The Clarion Hotel Amón Plaza is located in Barrio Amón, in San José downtown. It was inaugurated on December 31 st of 1993.
Barrio Amón is one of the few neighborhoods of the Capital City that still remains from last century. The Hotel design involved several local and international experts who took into account the neighborhood's historic legacy.
Since the very beginning of its construction the Hotel was intended to offer a neat, excellent service maintaining at the same time the architectural and historical beauty of the neighborhood. Our guests can notice plenty of details in which both the past and the future are represented. The Hotel also complies with the regulations for the historical legacy.
The Hotel has 87 comfortable rooms, 63 Standard Rooms, 21 Junior Suites and 3 Luxury Suites. The pleasant stay at the Hotel is completed with amenities such as Cafetal de la Luz Restaurant, Spa, Jacuzzi and the Business Center . There is also an spacious conference room ideal for any sort of executive and social events. There are also 4 executive rooms available for working reunions.
